Building DemocracyThroughout Bush’s presidency the United States conducted nation building experiments in multiple areas in the middle east. The goal of these experiments were to eliminate the terrorists that controlled an area and create a lasting democratic government in its wake. This would have multiple benefits for the United States including eliminating possible threats as well as opening new markets for trade. The middle east is rich in oil which is always needed for trade throughout the world. A successful example of this is the green zone in Baghdad
